After many years of constant use you may find that your window is slipping or has fallen and no longer returns up to close. This is usually caused by the supports for the glass becoming brittle and/or breaking from many years of use. In most circumstances you do not have to replace the motor (as this is still working) just transfer it across to the new assembley and re-install.
